GitLane v2.3.9

A stability release fixing a large batch of bugs across sign-in, pull requests, git operations, the terminal, and Linux file actions.

What's changed

This is a stability release: it fixes a large batch of bugs found in a code audit (#454).

Sign-in and pull requests:

  • Fixed: On macOS, Git operations that use a token stored by GitLane could lose the credential answer and fail to authenticate.
  • Fixed: Error messages for GitHub Enterprise now name the right host and account, and GitLab requests now go to the right host on self-hosted instances.
  • Fixed: Links to a repository on the web keep a custom port or scheme from the remote URL.
  • Fixed: The reviewer picker in Create pull request lists collaborators again.
  • Fixed: PR threads show the Author badge on the right comments, and numbered lists in comments keep their numbers.
  • Fixed: A very large GitLab merge request diff is marked as truncated instead of silently ending.

Git operations:

  • Fixed: Fetch keeps going when one remote's credentials fail, instead of stopping.
  • Fixed: Deleting a remote branch cleans up its local tracking ref, and the delete preview lists commits that aren't merged yet.
  • Fixed: Recovering from a stale index.lock works on Windows.
  • Fixed: Very large files and conflicted files load within limits instead of stalling.
  • Fixed: Opening a linked worktree shows the main checkout's branch in the graph, and a sibling worktree's activity no longer rebuilds the graph of another tab.

App and views:

  • Fixed: On Linux, Reveal in file manager and Open with default app work again.
  • Fixed: Typing in the integrated terminal no longer stalls the UI, keystrokes keep their order, and closing a repository tab ends its shells.
  • Fixed: The compare view shows renamed files as renames instead of whole-file additions.
  • Fixed: Escape closes only the topmost dialog, for example Settings opened over onboarding.
  • Fixed: Retry and lock-recovery actions on an error notification act on the repository that failed, even after you switch tabs.
  • Fixed: Conflict lists name deleted files with the correct "ours"/"theirs" side for the operation in progress.
  • Changed: Selection and drop-target highlights follow your accent colour.

Dependencies were updated (#440, #441, #450, #451, #452).
